Overview of RPS Conveyor Cover Series
RPS Engineering offers three popular smooth conveyor cover styles:
- CH Series – Full 360° hinged smooth covers with retaining bar
- CH75 Series – ¾ coverage with fixed 45° open side for constant belt visibility
- CHFG Series – Corrosion-resistant fiberglass (FRP) version for harsh environments
All series support belt widths from 18″ to 96″ and work with standard 3’–5′ idler spacing.
Safety Chains
Available for all hinged CH and CH75 covers. Strongly recommended for above-grade or elevated conveyors.
- Allows easy retrieval of covers
- Prevents covers from swinging out of reach if not secured at 45°
- Improves worker safety during maintenance
Integral Wind Guards
Extended cover and support band design that protects the return belt from high winds.
- Available on one side (prevailing wind) or both sides
- Custom lengths available to match your conveyor
- Reduces material loss and belt tracking issues caused by wind
Wind Skirt Angles with Gasket
Closes the standard 2-7/8″ gap between the bottom of the cover and the top of the channel/stringer.
- Allows use of standard eye bolts without design changes
- Improves dust and wind containment
- Available with neoprene or EPDM gasket
Angle to Channel Fasteners
Heavy-duty 5/8″ × 2-1/4″ bolts with hex nuts, lock washers, flat washers, and bevel washers. RPS recommends spacing support bands evenly between carrying idlers for maximum stability.
2-Piece Mounting Brackets
Specifically designed for CH-series covers when mounting on trusses with wide “I” or “T” beams or other obstructions. Provides necessary clearance for eye bolts while maintaining a secure fit.
