Founded in 1975 as a small, corrugated metal fabricator in Illinois, RPS Engineering grew steadily into a trusted leader in durable industrial cover systems. We celebrated our 50th anniversary in December 2025, marking five decades of innovation and reliability.
In late 2025, Linda Peddle acquired the company and now serves as President & Owner. Under her leadership, RPS continues its commitment to quality craftsmanship while embracing fresh energy, growth, and a focus on people and partnerships. We are proud to be a woman-owned business, delivering custom solutions nationwide from our headquarters in Elgin, Illinois.
What we make
RPS Engineering specializes in custom-engineered covers and enclosures for industrial and municipal applications. Our core product lines include:
- Conveyor belt covers in FRP and aluminum for bulk material handling systems across mining, aggregate, grain, and chemical industries
- Aluminum and fiberglass geodesic dome covers for water and wastewater treatment tanks, clarifiers, and bulk storage vessels
- Flat tank covers and launder channel covers for wastewater treatment facilities
- Architectural siding and roofing panels using our proprietary metal curving process
- Weirs, baffles, and scum containment systems for wastewater clarifiers
Every product is engineered to the specific requirements of the installation — load conditions, environmental exposure, access needs, and regulatory requirements are all factored into the design before a single component is fabricated.
How we work
Every project at RPS Engineering starts with a conversation. Our engineers review your application requirements — tank dimensions, load conditions, access needs, material environment, and applicable codes — before recommending a solution. We provide stamped engineering drawings, complete fabrication documentation, and direct support through installation.
Turnaround times are competitive because everything is built in-house at our Elgin, Illinois facility. There are no overseas suppliers or third-party fabricators in our production chain. When a project requires custom geometry, non-standard materials, or accelerated delivery, we have the flexibility to accommodate it without adding layers of coordination.
We back every product with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty covering materials, workmanship, and hardware. Our team remains available after installation for technical questions, replacement components, and future project planning.

Who we work with
RPS Engineering works with engineering firms, municipalities, contractors, and procurement teams across North America. Our customers include water and wastewater treatment authorities, aggregate and mining operations, grain handling facilities, chemical processors, and architectural contractors. We have established sales representatives (BL Anderson, JT Guthrie) across the United States and Canada who provide local support throughout the specification and procurement process.
